Ministries within Words to Live By Christian
Center!
Let me first start off by making a brief additional comment
about a Vision, specifically about our Church Vision. George
Barna in his book entitled "The Power of a Vision"
he defines a vision for a ministry is a clear mental image of
a preferable future imparted by God to His chosen servants and
is based upon an accurate understanding of God, self and circumstances."
Thus, as he states a vision has several components. I will share
and focus on just a few:
"A clear
Mental Image: Vision is a picture held in
your mind's eye of the way things could or should be in the
days ahead"
The Vision that God has given the Pastor for Words to Live by
Christian Center is the result of a clear mental image gave
to me concerning the way things will be for those that he has
called for WTLB to reach. Our Ministries services consist of
a clear structure that reveal the channels that God has led
us to use to bring this vision to pass in the lives of God's
people.
Preferable Change:
Our Vision to help God's people discover their purpose in
life involves change. A change of lifestyles from the past
unsatisfied days of missing God's best to now experiencing
God's best in every area of your life. This vision is never
about remaining in your present situation but about moving
toward the preferable conditions and results in your life
that reflects God's plan for your life. This vision requires
that one is stretched beyond your current state to a state
that the King, our God, has sanction for us to experience
and to walk in totally. No longer should a believer struggle
with their present state that maybe the result of past mistakes
or factors or conditions within the families we were born
into but now we using Our Faith and the Word of God to make
the better future that we prefer. Thus, this is why a component
of every vision consist of a clear defscription of a prefered
future that one can experience presently. Which brings me
to George Barna's third component of a vision.
A Future Focus:
Our vision concentrates on the future. It never thinks about
duplicating the past but focuses on creating a future that
God has willed in His word for us to experience. Thus you
will see that our current implemented and soon to be implemented
additional ministries is intended to cultivate in others this
best syle lifestyle that God has for us. Wether it's through
our membership sevices, educational services, broadcast services
or through our enrichment services the believer will experience
the end objective of the vision ... "to discover their
purpose in life" and to experience God's best before
and after walking in His best for their lives. Our recent
additions to our ministry "Family Life Training Center"
and our Broadcast Ministry is just one of several exciting
things that are happening at WTLB.
