Words to Live By
Weekly Words to Live by
The bible says that man should not live by bread alone but
by every word that proceedeth from the mouth of God. This
is unarguably God's expectation of mankind to allow God's
word to be our source of guidance and information that we
reference to determine our decisions as we live out this great
life that God has given us in Christ.
Memorize 1 Scripture per Week!
Come join me as we purpose to memorize one scripture per
week. We believe that the believer is positioned to experience
tremendous blessings when they have purposed to place God's
words in their mouth using it as a source of reference.
In Hebrews 4:12 we are told that "the Word of God is
living and powerful." The Greek word translated "powerful"
is the one from which we obtain the English word energetic.
The picture that is conveyed to us is one of intense, vibrant
energy and activity. Jesus confirmed this when he said in
John 6:63 that "the Words that I speak to you are spirit,
and they are life."
Thus I have to conclude that God's word cannot be reduced
merely to sounds in the air or marks on a sheet of paper.
On the contrary, God's Word is life; it is a Spirit; it is
alive; it is energetic; it works effectively in those who
believe it. I believe that the effect the Word of God has
on a person's life is immeasurable. It builds Faith and Focus
for today's challenges and prepares you to face the challenges
of tomorrow.
What I would like for to do is to memorize with me a scripture
a week. Put these scriptures to memory on a weekly basis and
allow His word to speak to you in a great way!
Week one for you does not have to start in the same sequence
it has for me but do start. In total we will have 52 scriptures
to account for each of the 52 weeks in a calendar year. For
now here is 16 weeks of scriptures which represents 4 months.
